MARKETING SUPPORT FOR BUSINESSES

marketing services for established businesses

If you have an established business, you may well have a marketing department in place, or you might just need some occasional help with specific projects. Below are some of the areas where I can help established businesses with their marketing:

Target audience review and research
A review by a third party of your current markets and the channels you're using to reach your target audience can bring some useful objectivity to the table. Any problem areas will be highlighted and practical solutions for improvement suggested. If you're looking to expand into new markets, a review can help profile your target audiences, analyse exsiting competitors and identify the optimum channels to reach these new markets.

Marketing plans
Do you feel your marketing plan could do with a review or some fresh input from an objective source? Such reviews have great strategic value because they help clarify how to develop your plan further and take it forward to implementation.

Competitor analysis
Competitor analysis helps you keep track of your rivals by monitoring their activities on a regular basis and keeping you up to speed with any special developments, so that you can maintain a clear idea of your own position in the market.

Website reviews, website optimisation (SEO)
How's your website doing? What are your goals for it and is it delivering on those goals? A review of your site will help identify areas where it might be improved to help ensure that it meets your expectations and - importantly - is visible to your target audience and to the search engines.

Website updates
Do you need to update the text content on your website regularly? Some suppliers have a system of charging a minimum fee for such work (for example, one hour), but my approach is to only charge for the actual time it takes to do the update. This means you won't have to wait until you've amassed enough changes to justify the minimum fee, and you can have your site updated when YOU want, at a reasonable cost.

Advertising and PR
If you have an advertising programme in place, is it delivering what you want? A review of your existing advertising programme will help identify whether the rewards are justifying the outlay. I can also review any existing PR programme you have in place, suggest campaigns, identify publicity targets, write appropriate material and send and follow up on pitches. If you have a PR agency, I can support their efforts with strategic marketing ideas and input.

Exhibitions
Does your company exhibit at shows? Is the return on such events worth the investment? I have years of experience in planning company stands at exhibitions. We can review your current programme together and identify the best opportunities for your needs.

Copywriting and proof reading
This includes writing a wide range of marketing copy, from website text to adverts, newsletters, brochures and fliers, or proof reading any copy you might have written yourself and would like reviewed. Services in book editing and the preparation of book proposals for agents and publishers are also available.

There are detailed examples of the work I do in my clients section. If you'd like to discuss your own particular requirements, please feel free to contact me for advice.
